At Conference 2018, the motion to allow One Member One Vote was carried successfully. This comes into affect in 2020 and means that ALL members have the opportunity to vote on the motions submitted in February 2020 and in each subsequent year.

When you receive your membership renewal paperwork for 2019/2020, included in your envelope will be your Vote Registration document. It is important for all paid-up members who wish to be able to cast a vote in 2020 to use this form to register for their ballot papers by the deadline of 31 March 2020.

You can register to vote online, or you can complete the form and return it directly to Electoral Reform Services. Please do not return your forms to Legion Head Office - they must be posted to the address noted on your registration form. The registration you will receive is shown above, so you know what to look out for.

We would like to encourage as many members as possible to register for this process electronically as not only will it be secure, efficient and better for the environment, but it also saves the organisation a considerable cost.

Only members who have renewed or joined in time for the 31 March deadline will be able to cast a vote, so it is important that you pay your membership dues as soon as possible when the membership year starts.

Once you have registered you don't have to do anything further. Your registration will be saved and prior to Conference 2020 your ballot paper, along with motions, supporting argument and counterarguments will be emailed (if you have registered electronically) or posted (if you registered to receive a postal vote). You will then have three weeks to cast your vote. The results will be announced at Conference in May 2020.
