Annual Membership

By joining Legion Scotland you help us to continue providing advice, community and friendship to ex-servicemen and women and their families. Your money will help us to make a big difference. As a member you will aid us to fund remembrance, comradeship, our disablement pensions advice service and wellbeing support.

You can join the Headquarters or the Riders branch online.

Our two main categories of membership are:
1. Ordinary - mainly ex-Service personnel who have served for a period of more than six months (although other categories are included, see below) and;

2. Associate – those who support the objectives of Legion Scotland but do not qualify for ordinary membership, also spouses, partners and dependants of ordinary members.

(At present our ordinary membership is made up from ex-servicemen and women, members of the Armed Forces, Reserve Forces, cadet adult instructors, Merchant Navy, HM Coastguard, the police, fire, ambulance and lifeboat services, War Widows Associations, Women’s Land Army & Timber Corp, Royal Observer Corp and the forces of Allied Nations.)

Gift Aid It!

If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim the tax back on your Membership fee, making your support go even further. All you have to do is agree to the following declaration and select Yes in the application form:

Please treat as Gift Aid donations all qualifying gifts of money made now and in the future. I confirm I have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) that I donate to will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I understand NYMHRT will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

Please note if you are joining Headquarters branch from the selections below the costs apply to the new membership year 1st November - 31st of October.  Your membership application will be acknowledged via email and the new membership card will be issued in November.
