  • Myself and other members of Livingston Ukulele Club provided live entertainment for attendees at a D-Day 80th anniversary commemoration event. The event was held at the Bathgate branch of RBLS on Saturday 8th June 2024, organisers of the event handed over £50 as a thank-you to the Club. It was agreed at one the Club's subsequent meeting that the club should hand this amount back as a donation to RBLS. I'd spoken to one of the event organisers who stated that the event had originally been intended as a fundraiser, but that the cost of running the event had not been covered by adequate ticket sales. This is why I've selected 'I spoke to a fundraiser' in answer to the question 'Why are you donating?' As I'm making this donation on behalf of the Club (an unincorporated, not-for-profit organisation) directly from its bank account, I'm not in a position to Gift Aid the donation amount.
